Coacha Skills & Progression tracking allows you to monitor any number of skills, qualifications or progressions associated your members. This feature gives you and your staff, the ability to quickly mark new skills, view what skills someone has completed (and when) and manage common skills across different levels.
To enable your Members Skills & Progression tracking
Log into Coacha then head to: PEOPLE - MEMBER SKILLS
Here you can enable the skills feature by ticking the box.
Step 1 - Adding individual skills
The first step that you need to complete is to add the individual skills. These are the constituent skills that someone needs to complete to achieve a certain level.
For instance - If someone needs to complete 4 skills to gain a level 1 qualification - the 4 constituents would be added here.
NOTE: Add all of the possible constituent skills you can think of :) You can add them to the main level in the next step.
Step 2 - Create your Skill Levels
Next you need to create your skill levels. These are the levels that you will add your constituant skills to. They can be skills, qualifications, progressions, whatever you need!
Head to the Member skills tab:
In this section you can add edit and remove skill levels and their constituent skills.
Adding a Skill Level
You can add any number of Skills to your organisation. Let's look at how we add a skill level.
Skill Level Title - This is the name of the skill, qualification or progression level
Make Public - Ticking this option will show the member / parents the progressions and what they have completed so far in the club. This is great motivation for junior members.
Notification - Ticking this option will send the member an automated email congratulating them when they complete the level.
Skills - Here is where you add your constituent skills for this level. Start typing the skill and then click to add. You can add or remove skills as you see fit.
Hit 'Create Skill Level' to finalise the level
Managing your Skill Levels.
Managing your existing skills couldn't be easier as you have all the tools to see what you need to in your skills section.
Skill Name - The name of the skill level
Sort Order - Adjust how the skills are presented on the member profile
Members - This shows you how many members have completed this level
Included Skills - Here is an overview of skills included in the level
Manage Skills - In this section use the cog to edit your skill, the trashcan to delete the skill.
View Members - This will allow you to view all of the members that have completed the skill level
Marking skills as complete on member profiles.
Now that you have set up all of your skills you can start marking them as complete as your students progress.
The skills list can be found in the 'Additional Info' Tab on your members' profiles.
In here you can tick the relevant skills, expand or contract levels etc.
VERY IMPORTANT: Always click the green Save the Member button at the top of the page once you have marked your members skills.
Note : When a skill is completed the system will mark the date of completion for you.
That's everything! Now you can track student progression and skill acquisition in Coacha!
