In Coacha you can limit how many classes a member is able to book depending upon their membership or subscription. For instance, if you have a tiered membership like this:
- Bronze - 2 classes per week = £30 per month
- Silver - 4 Classes per week = £40 per month
- Gold - Unlimited classes per week = £50 per month
This feature allows you to apply limits to a subscription so that members are restricted in the amount of classes they can book dependant on their subscription plan. However, we have also built into our booking system the ability for you to offer Pay As You Go options on classes should you want to allow them! Lets look at how this feature works, and how to set up your subscriptions.
NOTE: You will need to be using GoCardless or Stripe to collect recurring payments to use this feature.
SECTION 1 - Creating class limit subscription
To use this feature you will need to create a payment plan that will limit classes. This is simple to do in the MONEY > Manage Plans section
Step 1 : - Go to the 'Create a new payment plan' box and you will notice a tick box labelled "Does this plan require booking limits for (class name)" - To enable the feature tick this box
Step 2 : - Define how many classes per week or month the member can attend who is on this payment plan
Step 3 : - Create this plan!
Once created you will be able to use this plan for your members, either linking it to your club sign up form, or sending out the plan request to members directly.
SECTION 2 - Allow members to book, even if they have reached their subscription limit.
Even though you may limit your members booking abilities based on their subscription, there is also the ability built in for you to allow members to book on a PAYG basis, or book an 'exempt' class. Lets take a look at how we can do that:
Step 1 - Create a class, or edit an existing class where you would like to enable this feature
Step 2 - Locate the tick box - "Not included in booking restrictions" & "Allow members to book onto class once they have reached their limit"
These two options do slightly different things.:
1) "Not included in booking restrictions" - This means that this class will not count as one of the allowed classes in the members allowance
2) "Allow members to book onto class once they have reached their limit" - This means that the class will still come off the members allowance, but if they reach their limit they will still be able to book and pay on the PAYG basis
Important : - Once you have enabled the option that is right for you - Remember to hit SAVE
You're all done! Coacha will let the member know when they hit their limit, stop them booking classes when they shouldn't be able to, and let them know when they will be expected to pay for a class.
