Creating Bookable Classes

You can now create classes that your members can book onto in Coacha, they can do this through their web app login or on the iOS or Android Apps. This guide will explain how to create a bookable class and the various options that are open to you when creating one. 

01: Creating a bookable class.

To make a class bookable couldn't be easier, when you create your class you will see a tick-box at the bottom of step 1. "Can people book onto this class?"

You can tick this box and then you need to define the number of people who can book onto the class by filling in the "What is the Maximum Class Size" Box.

NOTE: You shouldn't add any members to your bookable class as they will take up the available spaces. 

02: Asking members to pay for a bookable class 

Do you want your members to pay for a class on an Pay-as-you-go basis? No problem! When you set a class as 'Bookable' you will notice a couple of new options appear. 

Tick Pay-As-You-Go then add a price for the class. 

You can then select how you get paid, if you are connected to GoCardless or Stripe you will be able to take online payments, or you can ask members to pay you in cash.

NOTE: When a member books the class on the web version of Coacha they will be asked to pay immediately. If they book through the iOS or Android apps, they will be sent an email with a payment link.

For PAYG classes your registers will look like this:

You will see a new button under the members which says 'Paid' or 'Pay'

The members who have already paid for the class (by GC or stripe) will show as 'paid'. The members yet to pay will show as 'Pay'

To record a payment of cash, or to take an online payment - hit the 'pay' button under the member.

This will create a popup where you can record that the member has paid - or take an online payment then and there.

03: Limiting who can book a bookable class. 

Do you have classes that are only available to selected groups in your club? Now you can select the member group that would want to be able to book onto classes. This feature means that you can create classes for specific teams, squads or skill groups that others in the club wont be able to book onto. 

Click the tickbox "Restrict Member Groups" and then select the groups whom you would like to be able to book onto the class - its that simple!

NOTE: This feature can be used independently and doesn't have to be combined with the PAYG option.

When you have finished setting everything up - Hit SAVE at the top of the screen. 

You are all done!
