With Coacha, there’s no messing around sending individual text messages or relying on athletes to read updates on social media; you can get the message out to your entire team, or to their parents, directly through our software. Just think how much time and hassle that will save you!
To send a bulk email or SMS, head to ‘Broadcasts’ in Coacha’s main navigation bar and select ‘Send Broadcast’.
Give your broadcast a subject and type your message into the box provided. Then choose whether to send as a text, email or both.
To send text messages, you’ll need to be set up with our SMS partner, Textlocal, and have sufficient credits in your account. SMS credits can be purchased directly from Textlocal for as little as 2.5p per text (Coacha does not add to these fees or make any money off them).
In this screen we’ll let you know how many Textlocal credits you have left. To buy more, head to Broadcasts > SMS Integration > Get more credits at Textlocal.
Email broadcasts are free to send.
When sending emails (not combined with text messages), you can insert attachments, such as class timetables and event flyers. To do this, click the blue ‘Upload a File)’ button, and choose the relevant document from the files on your computer.
Under GDPR, you must tick the Marketing box if the broadcast contains marketing information. This will exclude those who have opted out of receiving marketing information from you:
When you’ve finished creating your message, click ‘Add receivers’ to start adding your recipients.
Then just select the relevant member groups or classes from the dropdown menus and click “Add”. Those selected will then appear below in the “These people have been added” section.
Alternatively, you can tick "Send this broadcast to all of your members." and send to every member in your club.
You can also search for members in the ‘Mass-add members’ section.
To remove members from the Broadcast, click the red ‘X’ next to the member’s name:
If you’re finished adding recipients, hit ‘Review & Send’ to preview your broadcast. Check the details are correct – if not, you can use the ‘Back’ button to go back and many any changes.
Once here you select the broadcast to send immediately or at a later date.
When you are ready for the broadcast to go out, click ‘Send’.
And you’re done!
