If you are no longer at a club or would like to stop receiving emails you can request to have your data removed or archived. This request should go to the Club Owner / Admin rather than to us here at Coacha Software.
Who controls your data?
When you sign up to a club that uses Coacha, you are agreeing for the them to control your data, and for Coacha software to be used by the club to process your data. This means that the club is in charge of your data rather than Coacha software. They are known as the Data Controller. Coacha provide a service for them to process this data, so Coacha Software is referred to as a Data Processor.
Under GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations) you have the 'right to be forgotten'. This means that the club must stop processing your data for the purposes of communication or marketing.
There are, however, occasions when a club may retain data about you even if you make a request to be forgotten. For instance, if you have outstanding debt with the club, if the club needs your data retained for the purposes of insurance or health and safety records, etc.
However, the club must stop processing your data for marketing or communication if you ask them to.
What do do if you want to stop receiving information from the club.
Contact the club admin, or your contact at the club, and ask them to either delete, or archive you in Coacha. This will remove you from marketing and communications, but if you have outstanding debt with them for example, they will still need to contact you to settle the monies owed.
Who to contact.
Unfortunately, if you contact Coacha support, we are not be able to help you as we do not have the right to alter the data the club holds on you. To get your data removed or archive, please contact the club directly. They will need to comply with your request or provide a valid reason why they may not be removing your data from the club.
Thanks.
