The start of a new term can be stressful, especially when trying to ensure that all members/parents make their payments on time. On top of club admin, between trying to get your club into shape for GDPR and actually coaching, things can get busy.
Using Coacha eliminates a lot of the stresses of admin, but one thing Coacha unfortunately can’t do, is ensure that your members/parents manage to set their card details up on time, although I’m sure this feature would be a hit if we could!
A question that’s been asked by one club lately, is ‘what happens if a member/parent doesn’t setup their subscription before the payment date?’.
For example, if the first payment date is the 1st March, and the payment is eventually set up on 2nd March, what happens?
When a member/parent completes a subscription request, the first payment will come out on the next payment date.
So, in the above example, the first payment will be taken on 1st April. Therefore, the club will need to send a one-off payment request for that month’s fees.
Although parents may need to input their card details again, you should explain that the reason they need to do so is because they were late for the deadline. Therefore, March’s payment has not been made.
