Coacha’s email broadcasting system was designed with the NSPCC CPSU guidelines in mind to ensure young members are always communicated to safely and appropriately.
In order for your emails to be delivered to members under the age of 16, the following tick box on each relevant member profile must be filled to show that you have obtained consent to email from the member’s parent or guardian. Parents and guardians will also be copied in on any emails that you send to athletes under the age of 16.
When emailing a minor, in accordance with the NSPCC CPSU text messaging and emailing guidelines, you are also required to ensure at least 4 others (adults or children) are copied in on the email.
In order for your emails to be delivered to members between the ages of 16 and 18, the following tick box on each relevant member profile must be filled to show that you have obtained consent to email from the member themselves.
Next of kin contacts will not be copied in on emails sent to members above the age of 16 unless one of the following options (taken from the ‘Send a Broadcast’ screen) has been checked:
Without showing that you have obtained the proper consent for members under the age of 18, your messages will not be delivered. Details of this with an explanation as to why the email was not delivered will be shown in the broadcasts ‘stats’.
You can also set an independent moderator in ‘Club Settings’ (accessible from the black bar at the top of the screen).
Input an email address here for your safeguarding officer and they’ll be copied in on every broadcast to a minor.
