Safeguarding
One of our biggest priorities is to safeguard all of our clubs; especially your members. One of the features we’re most proud of in Coacha, is the ability to control what communication can be sent to which members depending on their age.
We’ve built this feature in accordance with NSPCC guidelines. This is the reason it’s important to ensure that all DOBs are accurate within your account.
When sending broadcasts:
- If members are over 18, the message will send directly to the member.
- If the member is between the ages of 13 and 18, it will send to the Next of Kin (NOK) unless ticked otherwise.
- If the member is below the age of 13, it will send to the NOK only.
Sibling and parent email addresses
We’ve been known to receive support requests asking ‘Why can’t parents with siblings at my club use the same email address twice? They’ve only got one email address!’ Well the answer is, ‘They can!’.
When parents of minors are filling in their children’s signup forms, parents need to enter their email address in the ‘NOK’ section only and bypass the ‘member information’ email address field completely.
The NOK email field will allow their email address to be entered more than once for different members; perfect for siblings.
