The 'Public Calendar Page' allows you to display an up-to-date calendar to your members and non-members alike. This is done either by embedding the page into your own website, or by using your unique Public Pages generated and hosted by Coacha.
As such you can display (and open bookings for) classes, courses, events and sessions, to non-members wanting to join you for an initial one off trial or taster. This feature will also streamline and highly automate onboarding of new members.
Similarly, it enables members to make bookings with out having to log directly in to Coacha or use the Coacha Apps.
Note: The 'Public Pages' feature is only available to Coacha's Custom subscribers.
Step 1 - Ensure that the 'Public Pages' feature is enabled (Dashboard>Coacha Custom>Features).
Section 1 - Enabling your public calendar
To create your public calendar there are a few available options. You can show various options and change your view - lets look at the options below.
Enable - First you need to enable the feature. Once you have ticked this option all other options for the feature will appear.
Public - This allows you to control whether the feature is visible to the public or hidden whilst you configure this feature.
Show Logo - If you are using the Coacha generated Public Pages (so not adding to a website) you can brand the page with your own logo. If you are embedding the page in your website you may want to keep the logo turned off so that it seamlessly looks like a part of your own website.
Allow course bookings - When enabled, people will be able to select the course from the calendar and then go through the booking process described in this section: Public & member event bookings
Allow trial / taster bookings - If you have marked some of your calendar as available as trials, they will be displayed with the option for non-members to book on to them. When people book, a 'temporary member' role will be created within Coacha for them. You can then contact them to see if they want to become a member once the trial / taster has taken place. You also have the option to send out automated emails once the trial / taster has taken place offering membership options to attendees - one less thing for you to have to do!
Default view - Display your calendar as a weekly or monthly view.
Securing your public page
To ensure that your public page is only displayed on the website you want it to be, here you can specify your website address. This will mean that the feature will only display if embedded on your website.
Add your website address and then hit the + symbol to add your web address and make the page more secure.
To remove a website address, click on the trash can next the the greyed out address and try again.
The web address (URL) of your Public Pages (if you are not embedding in a website)
This section shows you the URL of your Public Pages hosted by Coacha. If you don't want to embed your page into your website, you can use this address as a direct link to add to your social media and emails, and to send to members and non-members alike.
Code snippet for embedding
Note: For a general guide to embedding your public pages into popular website editors, please click here.
The 'Code Snippet' is the pre-filled code that you can simply drop into your website editor where you want your pages to appear. You will only need to do this once and any changes you make in your Public Page settings will automatically appear in your web page.
Events and classes added automatically.
You don't need to select any classes or courses in this section, they will be automatically added to the sessions.
What does the public calendar page look like?
There are two different views available in the calendar - week view, and month view. If you have very busy days the week view may be the better option as you will be able to see more items in each day.
If you mainly provide courses then the month calendar view may be a better option.
Thanks
The Coacha Team
