Public & member event bookings

If you run courses, summer camps or other events and would like your members or non members to be able to book onto the courses, you can, with Coacha's Courses Public Page. 

The Courses Public Page links to the main Coacha Courses functionality and allows you to open up courses and events to non-members. You can also embed the booking process and sign up process into your website. This feature combines the courses functionality, custom joining instructions and a stripped down sign up processes to allow members and non-members alike to book and sign up extremely easily.

Note: The 'Public Pages' feature is only available to Coacha's Custom subscribers.

Step 1 - Ensure that the 'Public Pages' feature is enabled (Dashboard>Coacha Custom>Features). 

Section 1 - Enabling public booking on your courses. 

The first step in enabling public course booking is to ensure the feature is enabled on the courses you wish to make available on your public page. This is done in the main Courses Section under the individual courses settings and allows you to publish courses on a course by course basis. 

Head to Sessions & Registers - The Courses Section

When creating or editing a course you will see the following option : 

Showing this course on the public pages will mean that, when enabled in the Public Page settings, this course will be publicly available for bookings. 

When enabled remember to save your course to make the settings live. 

Creating a unique welcome email for your course. 

When you enable Public Pages for a course, you have the option to create a custom welcome email for that particular event. This means that you can add instructions, directions or links for attendees. 

Fill in your custom email and then hit save to save your settings. 

Section 2 - Setting up your Public Course Page.

To set this page head to the Public Pages Section - then click on the 'Subscription' Section. 

Here you will be able to set up the page and control its visibility. Let's explore the various options. 

Enable & Configure

Enable - First you need to enable the feature. Once you have ticked this option all other options for the feature will appear.

Public - This allows you to control whether the feature is visible to the public or hidden whilst you configure this feature.

Show Logo - If you are using the Coacha generated Public Pages (so not adding to a website) you can brand the page with your own logo. If you are embedding the page in your website you may want to keep the logo turned off so that it seamlessly looks like a part of your own website. 

Securing your public page

To ensure that your public page is only displayed on the website you want it to be, here you can specify your website address. This will mean that the feature will only display if embedded on your website. 

Add your website address and then hit the + symbol to add your web address and make the public page more secure.

To remove a website address, hit the trash can next the the greyed out address and try again. 

The web address (URL) of your Public Pages (if you are not embedding in a website)

This section shows you the URL of your Public Pages hosted by Coacha. If you don't want to embed your page into your website, you can use this address as a direct link to add to your social media and emails, and to send to members and non-members alike.

The 'Code Snippet' is the pre-filled code that you can simply drop into your website editor where you want your pages to appear. You will only need to do this once and any changes you make in your Public Page settings will automatically appear in your web page. 

Courses are added automatically.

You don't need to select any of your courses you want to publish in this section.  The courses that will be going live are defined in the course settings (See Section 1 above)

What does the courses public page look like ?

The courses page has been designed to make the process as easy and seamless as possible for users - members and non members alike can select the course they would like to attend in just a few taps or clicks.

When the attendee selects the course they would like to book they are given the option to either log into their account if they are an existing member. If they're are a member, they will be taken through the non-member booking process which is a streamlined and stepped process that is very easy to follow.

How do you find Guests on the course? 

People who book onto the courses as a guest and are not classed as members are added to your 'People' section under the 'Guest' Filter. These members will have a 'Guest' Tag on their profile.

They will have a profile like other people in the system that you can take action on. You will be able to see in the 'Attendance' tab, which events they have attended. You will also be able to broadcast to guests to inform them of more upcoming events.
